Divorce Services:

We understand how far-reaching the impact of divorce can be in family life, and how important it is for all involved to do it right. We are committed to helping make what is often one of the most difficult life experiences as smooth and painless as possible.

We offer individual, couples, family, and group therapy, and will also work with teenagers for individual therapy if needed.

Furthermore, we are proud members of the Amicable Divorce Network, one of the highest quality divorce partnerships in Georgia.

Our divorce counseling services include:

  • Discernment Counseling

    • Explores if parties would like to attempt to repair the relationship or separate.

    • Individuals and Couples

  • Divorce Counseling

    • We work with individuals and couples to make decisions, process emotions, and have difficult conversations throughout the divorce process, including post-divorce life, and ideally try to help keep the process as amicable as possible.

    • Unlike mediation, divorce counseling often deals with the emotions around the situation and attempts to bring guidance, clarity, and eventually closure.

  • Divorce Support Groups

    • Group therapy can be extremely beneficial in divorce settings. The added support and processing of shared experiences can be invaluable during this time.

    • We offer adult co-ed support groups, men’s support groups, women’s support groups, and teen support groups.

  • EMDR Therapy

    • EMDR is a model of therapy that is designed to treat severe anxiety, phobias, traumas, or negative beliefs.

    • EMDR is used here to assist clients in challenging various beliefs about the divorce process, for example “I cannot possibly live by myself again”, “Nobody will want me now”, or “I am responsible for this divorce because I was a bad partner.”

    • Individual Only

  • Family Counseling

    • We are happy to work with families in discussing how the impact of the divorce is effecting the family members involved, with goals including processing intense emotions, providing hope and comfort to children, and preserving relationships.

  • Grief Counseling

    • The end of a relationship is often considered to be on par with the death of a loved one. We encourage clients to treat it as such.
