Many people do not realize that the services offered through Atlanta Marriage and Mediation Clinic extend beyond family-related matters. While AMMC has developed a strong reputation for divorce, custody, co-parenting, and other family mediation services, our mediators also frequently assist with a wide range of general and civil disputes.

Common matters include small claims disputes, landlord-tenant conflicts, homeowner association (HOA) disputes, contract disagreements, property-related conflicts, neighbor disputes, business disagreements, and most other civil matters that have been referred to mediation by a court.

All of our mediators are registered with the Georgia Office of Dispute Resolution (GODR) and receive cases through both private referrals and county Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) programs throughout Georgia.

The key distinction between General & Civil Mediation and our Conflict Resolution Consulting services is that General & Civil Mediation typically involves matters that have either already been ordered to mediation by a court or have a reasonable likelihood of escalating into a legal dispute. In these cases, mediation provides an opportunity for parties to resolve their differences efficiently, confidentially, and cost-effectively while maintaining greater control over the outcome than they would through litigation.

Our mediators serve as neutral facilitators, helping parties clarify issues, improve communication, explore settlement options, and work toward mutually acceptable resolutions whenever possible. Whether your case has already been filed or you are hoping to avoid court altogether, mediation can often provide a practical path forward.
