Divorce Without Attorneys
We firmly believe that we are able to move clients through the vast majority of the divorce process independently of attorneys.
To begin, we would like to note that it is nearly impossible to get through a divorce from A-Z without ever engaging an attorney, however, our goal is to save the need for attorneys solely for filing purposes, which can often be completed with a flat rate at the conclusion of mediation. We will also note that clients can engage with their personal attorneys before, during, or after mediation.

We understand that many clients would like to resolve family issues without attorneys, or would prefer to refrain from using attorneys until absolutely necessary.
While we are happy to work with attorneys, we are also aware that the decision to include attorneys in family matters can feel drastic or intrusive. We are also aware that many clients are seeking to stay away from expensive attorney fees and also seeking to minimize stressful interactions.
Our clinic follows a co-mediation model, meaning that you will work with marriage and family therapists and/or financial professionals as is relevant to your case.
Choosing to work with professionals other than attorneys can be beneficial in several ways, including:
The ability to bypass attorney fees and court fees.
A much more amicable, relaxed, or informal feel, which can be especially helpful to families that do not wish to be unpleasant or adversarial. Furthermore, clients are able to have much more input in the final outcome.
The specialized education, training, and experience of our team of counselors/mediators can be a more appropriate fit in resolving sensitive and stressful family issues. This also translates well in post-divorce relationships.
We ultimately encourage clients to pursue what they feel is in their best interests.
